AndroidAuthority has spotted an interesting update on Samsung UK's website. The DeX page mentions at the very bottom that the DeX app for Windows will be discontinued. “The DeX for PC on Windows OS will end support from One UI 7 version. We encourage customers to connect mobile phone and PC through the Link to Windows feature,” it says.
This is simply a matter of Samsung simplifying offerings, because Microsoft has been working on similar functionality for a while now, one that's not just compatible with Samsung phones but with other Android-powered devices as well. Link to Windows offers the same feature set and is obviously far more optimized.
