I personally think that Samsung should allow the Windows App to use with the Samsung Dex as earlier. Because it is a significant loss for many users. Samsung Dex provided a seamless way to extend the phones capabilities to a larger screen while allowing users for multitasking, productivity, and more like an Desktop Experience.
With Link to Windows and Microsoft Phone Link, it offers some similar functionality. But definitely, it will lack the full featured experience and optimization provided with the Samsung Dex. So, by Samsung's decision to remove it, most users will be disappointed who relied on the Dex app for all their needs.

It personally doesn't affect me because I don't need dex to function on my Windows device. I need it to function on my tv, which it works flawlessly, and it's wireless as well. So it's not a big issue for me
